What Can I Expect in Therapy?

The relationship with your therapist is often just as important for growth as is what is done in the therapy space. With that in mind, I always start with a 15-minute free phone consultation so that I can learn a bit more about what is bringing you to the therapy space, your goals, and how I might best support you. At the end of this call, if we both feel that working together would be a good fit, we will schedule an initial intake session. This initial session will center on learning more about you, your present concerns and goals, family/mental/physical health history, and more. Together, we can then discuss how frequently we want to meet (once per week, every other week, etc.) and best days and times to meet moving forward. I hold all sessions online (for now) via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform across Colorado, Ohio, and 40+ other states via PSYPACT.

How Long Does Therapy Last?

The classic therapist answer to this question is “it depends” on your goals, presenting concerns, and other factors unique to each person. I believe that the best therapists are the ones that put themselves out of business; meaning that it is my goal to support in building the insight and skills necessary for you to feel ready to transition out of the therapy space. Healing often takes a year or longer, since we will often do deeper processing together. However, symptom management and skill development can take shorter.

Sign up for a free, 15-minute phone consultation if you would like to talk more about a treatment plan for you.

Where are you located?

Right now, I am only offering virtual therapy appointments. Before each appointment, you will receive a secure link to join the session via my electronic medical record system, SimplePractice.

I hope to offer in-person sessions soon!

What are your Fees?

For individual therapy services, my fee is $200 for the initial intake appointment and $175 per 50-minute session. I also reserve sliding scale fee spots, which we can discuss during our initial free phone consultation.

My fee for general consultation and supervision for mental health professionals is $200 per hour.

My fee for consultation and team talks for athletic teams and businesses is $200 per hour.

Do You Take Insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time. I am happy to provide a superbill which you can submit to your insurance provider for out-of-network benefits.
